I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business.
Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. – John 15:15 NIV
We say goodbye to another successful week of Vacation Bible School (VBS). The church was transformed into an underwater wonderland. Games were played, songs were sung, crafts were made, and 60 children learned they have a friend in the Lord. Thank you for all the prayers. And thank you to all the VBS volunteers.
We also say goodbye to pastor Julie as she is now the lead pastor at First UMC in Red Wing. She would appreciate your prayers for her as she begins this new adventure. Also, please
continue to be in prayer for the person to follow Julie as the leader of rezKIDS. The SPRC (Staff Parish Relations Committee) is currently interviewing candidates and hopes to have a hiring announcement shortly.
In worship, we continue our message series on foods in the bible. On the menu for July 7 is grilled tilapia. Sadly (or thankfully, depending on your view of fish) I will not be handing out samples on that day. But you will find the recipe in the bulletin.
Enjoy your July 4th holiday!
Pastor Mark
