Growing up with three brothers we often got a little too “rambunctious” in the house and would be told to take it outside. There are things for inside and things for outside; roughhousing was for outside.

But what about worship? Is that for inside or outside?

Much of Jesus’ ministry took place outside – on the road, beside the sea, on top of a mountain. COVID taught us that it’s even possible to worship outside. So at Resurrection we are doing so this Sunday (September 25). We will take the praise of Jesus outside the church to the community and hold worship and a free lunch in Pioneer Park next to the church. Bring a chair. Bring an appetite and bring a friend. Worship is at 10:00 with lunch to follow.

If you can’t join us in person that day, there will be online services at 8:30 and 10:00 with the same message. There will be no in-person service at 8:30 so we can all worship and eat together in the park. If rain is predicted the worship and lunch will be moved inside.

Inside or outside we will worship together on September 25. Either way, it will be a great time to gather with our neighbors and praise the Lord!

God bless your week,

Pastor Mark

(Jesus) directed the disciples to seat all the people in groups as though they were having a banquet on the green grass.  – Mark 6:39 CEB
