The demonic powers had kept the Gerasene man roaming the cemetery like a wild animal, cut off from family or friends. The power of Christ broke through that bondage and restored the man to sound mind and body, so naturally he wanted to follow Jesus out of town. But Jesus had a different idea. Jesus said to him, “Go home to your family and friends. Tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how he has had mercy on you.” Mark 5:19

We are in the middle of 28 days of prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to break through in our lives. Like the Gerasene man, you may already have experienced breakthroughs. If so, then why not share those with your family and friends, including your friends here at Resurrection? As we continue through this month of prayer there will be opportunities for you to share the ways God has responded to your prayers. Your testimony to the power of the Holy Spirit may be just what someone else needs to hear.

I am praying for Holy Spirit breakthroughs in your life, and I look forward to hearing your stories of how God has done that.

In Christ,

Pastor Mark

“Go back home and tell everyone how much God has done for you.” The man then went all over town, telling everything that Jesus had done for him. – Luke 8:39
