In America, Thanksgiving is a one-day holiday in November. But the bible tells us to give thanks all the time. So this November we are taking the whole month to say “thank you” to some special people. Each Sunday morning at the 8:30 and 10:00 worship services we will be recognizing these persons in worship and thanking God in our prayers all week for their service.
- Sunday, November 7 – Veterans
- Sunday, November 14 – Healthcare Workers
- Sunday, November 21 – Frontline/Essential workers in other occupations (e.g. food, transportation, delivery, utilities, fire department, law enforcement/corrections, etc.)
- Sunday, November 28 – Educators
And speaking of thank yous, thank you for supporting all the ministries of Resurrection Church with your Glad to Give commitment for next year. If you have not yet returned a 2022 Glad to Give commitment card, please do so this week.
Finally, pastor Julie and I thank you for the many ways the church has shown their love to us during Pastor’s Appreciation Month. We are humbled by your response.
Blessings on you saints of God at Resurrection Church,
Pastor Mark
