“O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven and earth. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion. You have kept your promise to your servant David, my father. You made that promise with your own mouth, and with your own hands you have fulfilled it today.” – 2 Chronicles 6:14-15 NLT
When King Solomon dedicated the original temple, the first building designed for the worship of God, he looked back on God’s faithfulness through the years and looked forward to what God would do with his people in the years to come. We do something similar at Resurrection every January. We look back with gratitude for God’s faithfulness in the past and look forward with expectation to what God will do in the future. So, on Tuesday, January 28 at 7:00 pm, Resurrection Church will hold its annual meeting and “State of the Church” address. If you haven’t been a part of this celebration in the past here is what you can expect:
- Delicious treats
- 2024 year-in-review photo montage
- Pastor Mark’s brief “State of the Church” address
- A year-end look at the congregation’s generosity and God’s faithfulness
- The election of officers/committee members
- The presentation of the Humble Servant Award
The whole event usually lasts less than an hour and everyone is welcome.
Also, if you think you might be interested in serving on one of our committees, please contact Pastor Mark. Most ministries can be joined simply by volunteering, but a few (such as Trustees, Finance, and Church Council) require election.
Grace and peace to you,
Pastor Mark
