Plants for a Mission is a fundraising event taking place at Hastings UMC to support our Christian brothers and sisters at St. Joseph Alamano Church in Kenya. While this church has no running water or electricity, it is full-to-bursting with love for the Lord. Over the past years, donations sent to St. Joseph Alamano Church have been used to purchase windows for their church, musical instruments for the children and a very simple battery-powered public address system used in their church.
100% of the proceeds collected at this event will be sent to St. Joseph Alamano Church in Kenya. This year’s donations will be used to help fund and build a church-connected school.
Available this year with a free-will donation:
– Tomatoes (regular, heirloom, cherry) and green peppers
– Herbs (basil, parsley)
– Variety of flowers
– Houseplants
