Please join us for our Ash Wednesday service. The ashes are from palm branches that were burnt and the ashes were collected. The palm branches that are burnt represent the palm branches that were used as Jesus entered Jerusalem, calling Jesus the King of Israel – but then the people turned around and yelled “crucify him” at his trial. The ashes are a sign of seeking repentance from God. There will be no regularly scheduled Wednesday kids/youth programs or dinner, and all youth are encouraged to attend this service.
