“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39 NLT
This is a letter for all those who were not able to go to Florida, Arizona, or Hawaii this January.
God loves you! God loves you! God loves you! He really does. Even if you are suffering through the depths of January cold or suffering from a January cold. Even if your car won’t start or your body is falling apart. Even if the ground is brown and there are still dead leaves blowing around. God loves you.
There are times when it’s hard to remember that, especially in January in Minnesota. But it’s true. The love of God is deeper than any January cold and longer than a Minnesota winter. Nothing can separate us from the love of God.
So, wherever you are, stay warm this week wrapped in the arms of God’s love.
In Christ,
Pastor Mark
P.S. If you are in Florida, Arizona, or Hawaii, God loves you, too! Though you probably didn’t need to be reminded. ☺
