The Boundary Waters Canoe Area is one of my favorite places in the world. In most of the Boundary Waters there are no roads, no buildings, no motorboats. It’s just majestic lakes, rugged scenery, calling loons, and the occasional canoeist. (And, yes, there are a few mosquitos, too.) Cut off from all the normal distractions, it is a great place to draw close to God.

I have made dozens of trips there and led over 500 campers to experience this part of God’s creation. This year I’ll be going again. August 8-12 is what I hope will be our first annual rezYouth Boundary Waters trip. If you have a youth in grades 6-12 who’d like to go, reserve your spot online, use the sign-up sheet in the foyer at church, or contact me directly. Space is extremely limited (the pandemic created a huge demand for Boundary Waters permits this year), so reserve your spot by June 30th.

What is your favorite place in the world? An ocean beach; the desert southwest; the Rocky Mountains; or perhaps just a spot by a lake. I hope you are able to enjoy your favorite place this summer. Even if you can’t get away, I hope you will enjoy our summer worship series: re:pete

We will be looking at the life of Peter. From Peter the clueless disciple, to Peter the leader of the early church, to Peter the biblical letter writer. Discover how God can work in your life in the same amazing ways he worked in Peter’s.

Happy summer!
