We had a great time on vacation last month. I hope you had some good times this summer, too. But, the best is yet to come – Fall. Fall is my favorite season. Colored leaves, crisp air, fresh apples, ducks flying, combines bringing in the harvest, and people gathering to tailgate. In my book, fall truly is the best of times. And it’s even better when I can be together with my church family.

This Sunday (September 26) Resurrection Church will be holding a fall kickoff celebration in Pioneer Park (next to the church) at 11:00 am. There will be a cookout with burgers, brats and hotdogs; inflatables for the kids and cornhole games for the whole family. And, of course, we will have a great time in worship and rezKIDS before that. The whole neighborhood is invited and I hope to see you there.

We are still looking for volunteers to help with the celebration. If you would like to help out, use the sign-up link at: bit.ly/rez-kickoff

Also, put on your calendar our annual Fall Fest at the Tharp farm coming up on Saturday, October 16. Hayrides, pumpkin decorating, great food and more.

It’s going to be a great fall. Thank the Lord of all his blessings!

Pastor Mark

P.S. Thank you to everyone who filled a flood cleaning bucket for UMCOR’s Hurricane Ida response. The many buckets of supplies you donated are being added to buckets from United Methodist Churches across Minnesota and shipped out today.
