FEB 04  / Sunday – Read Galations 5:16

Overview: The power is there, but the light doesn’t go on unless we flip the switch or reset the circuit breaker. In other words, it’s up to us.

05 / Mon – Not Ashamed  |  Read Romans 1:16

The Gospel can be preached in dynamic and impressive messages. It can be  just as powerful during one-on-one conversations about the miracles and answers to prayer that we experience. Whether big or small, would you consider sharing how God has blessed you with someone who is not a believer, or whose faith in God might have become unsteady? Trust in the dunamis of the Holy Spirit.

06 / Tue – Servant vs Volunteer  |  Read Ephesians 3:7

Volunteering feels good and provides the work force needed to accomplish many good things. It is also something we do at our own discretion. In Dynamite Prayer the authors tell us that Christ followers are to be “whole-life servants,” serving God, the greatest Master of all, at His discretion. As you continue to grow spiritually in Christ, do you find yourself more attuned to the Holy Spirit and how God wants you to serve in all areas of your life?

07 / Wed – Battle Ready  |  Read Ephesians 6:10-17

Does Satan ever say to himself, it looks like that person is fully prepared to repel and resist me, so I’ll just move on? No. He will redouble his efforts, always looking for a weak spot. The Book of Job is a perfect example of this. Is there a vulnerable point in your armor? Paul tells us to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions.” Be strong in the Lord and in HIS mighty power..

08 / Thu – Race-Prepared  |  Read Colossians 1:11

Hebrews 12:1-2 tells us to “..run the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus..” We lay the groundwork for this by staying in the Word and in prayer, and by recognizing that things we go through in life such as disappointment, loss and other difficulties are also part of our preparation. Has there been a time when you reflected on how a difficult experience in your life has ultimately strengthened you, preparing you to have the endurance to be a “pacer” with someone else during their tough time?

09 / Fri – My Weakness  |  Read 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

God did not grant Paul’s prayer to remove his weakness of the flesh. He first labeled this infirmity as something Satan sent to torment him. But after the Lord told him that His grace was sufficient and His power was made perfect in weakness, he confidently surrendered his affliction to the Holy Spirit along with all “insults, hardships, persecutions and difficulties.” Is there anything constraining your faith walk that needs to be turned over to the dunamis of God?

10 / Sat – Capacity for Hope & Sustenance  |  Read Romans 15:13 / Hebrews 1:3

Everyone goes through hard times, and it can become easy to slip into complaining and wondering why. But wait… God is the God of hope, and He is with you through everything, even when it looks darkest. Turning hardships and circumstances over to Him puts you alongside the Holy Spirit, who will give you sustenance and comfort. What experience has severely tested your hope? As you walked through that valley, can you pinpoint where and when your hope was lifted, and you realized the joy and peace of God’s plan for you?
