JAN 28  / Sunday – Read Ephesians 3:20 / Romans 5:5

Overview: God uses an amazing, invisible network to supply uninterrupted power to all believers who stay connected to it – the Holy Spirit.

29 / Mon – Through Our Words  |  Read 1 Corinthians 4:5

Paul was a very learned man of Scripture, and a skilled speaker and debater. However, today’s scripture tells us that he put that aside “in weakness and fear.” He let the Holy Spirit infuse his abilities and guide his words when he preached the message of salvation, so they came from the dunamis of God, not him. Do your words sometimes feel inadequate when sharing your faith with others? What prayer or Bible verse gives you confidence and strength?

30 / Tue – For Eternal Life  |  Read 1 Corinthians 6:14

The Holy Spirit has the awesome, enormous power to bring back life where there was death. Dynamite Prayer authors Picardo/Kibbey remind us that this resurrection power can also breathe life back into relationships and situations that seem beyond redemption. Have you experienced the power of the Holy Spirit at work during these times? Is there something you’re struggling with that you would consider turning over entirely to the Holy Spirit’s power?

31 / Wed – Faith Focus  |  Read Philippians 3:10

Keep the faith. That can be a tall order sometimes as we navigate this fallen world. When we are struggling with seasons of illness, loss, waiting, and other difficulties, it might be tempting to put our faith on the back burner and focus on just keeping busy with anything and everything else. Do you recall a time when your faith in God had become frayed and you felt a bit distant from Him? What did you do, or stop doing, in order to prioritize and renew the dunamis of your relationship with Christ?

01 / Thu – A New Spirit  |  Read 2 Timothy 1:7

Almost everyone has a favorite product that works well and they can confidently tell others about how good and effective it is, and defend it against pushback. However, sometimes people pull back from sharing the best news of all time, the redemption of our sins through faith in Jesus Christ. Could it be from fear, shyness or not knowing what to say? Authors Picardo/Kibbey write, “Any threatening spirit of fear does not come from the Almighty.” What would be helpful to encourage someone to be more bold in expressing their faith in God?

02 / Fri – Through Scripture  |  Read Matthew 2:29

The Sadducees prided themselves on their book learning and ensuring that people saw how ‘holy’ they were. However, their faith was only skin deep and just for show, and was not about having an actual relationship with God. Jesus called them out for their ignorance and hypocrisy. Have you ever been around someone who knew the rules but was not living out their faith with love and a relationship with the Lord? Has this happened to you at any time?

03 / Sat – The Cross & War Cry  |  Read I Corinthians 1:18 / Matthew 6:13

It is difficult to comprehend the excruciating, sacrificial death Jesus suffered on the cross in order to save us from our sins. Seeing a cross reminds us of this undeserved forgiveness and grace, and the enormous, immeasurable power that is God’s in His kingdom. Do you recall a moment, big or small, when the power of God left you speechless and awed? What happened? Consider sharing that moment with someone. You might begin or enrich their faith in God.
