While this church has no running water or electricity\, it is full-to-bursting with love for the Lord. Over the past years\, donations sent to St. Joseph Alamano Church have been used to purchase windows for their church\, musical instruments for the children and a very simple battery-powered public address system used in their church. \n100% of the proceeds collected at this event will be sent to St. Joseph Alamano Church in Kenya. This year’s donations will be used to help fund and build a church-connected school. \nAvailable this year with a free-will donation:\n– Tomatoes (regular\, heirloom\, cherry) and green peppers\n– Herbs (basil\, parsley)\n– Variety of flowers\n– Houseplants

DESCRIPTION:Plants for a Mission is a fundraising event taking place at Hastings UMC to support our Christian brothers and sisters at St. Joseph Alamano Church in Kenya. While this church has no running water or electricity\, it is full-to-bursting with love for the Lord. Over the past years\, donations sent to St. Joseph Alamano Church have been used to purchase windows for their church\, musical instruments for the children and a very simple battery-powered public address system used in their church. \n100% of the proceeds collected at this event will be sent to St. Joseph Alamano Church in Kenya. This year’s donations will be used to help fund and build a church-connected school. \nAvailable this year with a free-will donation:\n– Tomatoes (regular\, heirloom\, cherry) and green peppers\n– Herbs (basil\, parsley)\n– Variety of flowers\n– Houseplants

Since 1997 ERT trained volunteers have worked at 18 Minnesota disasters and responded five times to disasters in other states. The course\, taught by UMCOR certified instructors\, provides the basic skills for you to become a member of the Early Response Team.
