While this church has no running water or electricity\, it is full-to-bursting with love for the Lord. Over the past years\, donations sent to St. Joseph Alamano Church have been used to purchase windows for their church\, musical instruments for the children and a very simple battery-powered public address system used in their church. \n100% of the proceeds collected at this event will be sent to St. Joseph Alamano Church in Kenya. This year’s donations will be used to help fund and build a church-connected school. \nAvailable this year with a free-will donation:\n– Tomatoes (regular\, heirloom\, cherry) and green peppers\n– Herbs (basil\, parsley)\n– Variety of flowers\n– Houseplants

DESCRIPTION:Early Response Teams (ERT) fill a specific need in the days soon after a natural disaster. ERTs remove debris\, clean out flood-damaged homes\, and otherwise help to prevent further property damage while providing a caring Christian presence. ERT volunteers are different from general volunteers because we are trained\, have security background checks and are entirely self-sufficient. Since 1997 ERT trained volunteers have worked at 18 Minnesota disasters and responded five times to disasters in other states. The course\, taught by UMCOR certified instructors\, provides the basic skills for you to become a member of the Early Response Team. The course will be taught at La Crescent United Methodist Church. \nCost: $20.00 includes ERT training materials\, lunch\, snacks and UMCOR Photo ID (no fee if you are taking it for recertification.)\nRegistration Deadline: May 02\, 2016 12:00 AM\nContact Traci Woolard (tjwool@hotmail.com) with any questions. \nPREREQUISITES TO TAKE ERT BASIC TRAINING\nMust be 18 years of age. DESCRIPTION:Early Response Teams (ERT) fill a specific need in the days soon after a natural disaster. ERTs remove debris\, clean out flood-damaged homes\, and otherwise help to prevent further property damage while providing a caring Christian presence. ERT volunteers are different from general volunteers because we are trained\, have security background checks and are entirely self-sufficient. Since 1997 ERT trained volunteers have worked at 18 Minnesota disasters and responded five times to disasters in other states. The course\, taught by UMCOR certified instructors\, provides the basic skills for you to become a member of the Early Response Team. The course will be taught at La Crescent United Methodist Church. \nCost: $20.00 includes ERT training materials\, lunch\, snacks and UMCOR Photo ID (no fee if you are taking it for recertification.)\nRegistration Deadline: May 02\, 2016 12:00 AM\nContact Traci Woolard (tjwool@hotmail.com) with any questions. \nPREREQUISITES TO TAKE ERT BASIC TRAINING\nMust be 18 years of age.
