He has a degree in Meteorology from the University\nof Wisconsin and has been an environmental activist for ten\nyears. He is a commissioned “Earthkeeper” with the United\nMethodist Church and a charter member in a coalition of\nchurches called Interfaith Creation Care South Metro. \nBill grew up in a family of fourteen\, where he learned from an\nearly age about stewarding resources for the good of all. He’s\nalways had an insatiable curiosity\, which led him to study\nphysics\, climatology\, meteorology\, and computer science in\ncollege. His training and his faith gave him the perspective that\nwe all have a role to play in solving the problems associated with\na changing atmosphere. \n“My faith requires me to love my neighbor\, which means I cannot\nignore the harmful side effects of everyday life in this society that\nfall on disadvantaged souls in future times and lands far from\nmine. In my small way\, I am holding up a sign that says ‘Do not be\nafraid.’ Do not be afraid—we can solve this with less suffering and\nmore freedom than if we let our fears paralyze us.”

DESCRIPTION:Unidos en Cristo (UeC)\, or “United in Christ\,” is a weekend retreat for people seeking to grow in their relationship with Christ.\nMore than 5\,000 people from a variety of churches have attended a Unidos weekend. The experience begins with a structured three-day weekend in an atmosphere of friendship and joy. \nAt an Unidos weekend\, you’ll learn: \n\nto discover yourself and your own worth on a more fundamental level\,\nto experience the presence and love of Jesus Christ\, and\nto become aware of what a loving and caring Christian community can bring to the world.\n\nThis is the first Co-Ed UeC weekend. The experience begins with a structured three-day weekend in an atmosphere of friendship and joy. \nAt an Unidos weekend\, you’ll learn: \n\nto discover yourself and your own worth on a more fundamental level\,\nto experience the presence and love of Jesus Christ\, and\nto become aware of what a loving and caring Christian community can bring to the world.\n\nThis is the first Co-Ed UeC weekend.
